Section 4 Re-opens

Good News! We have been informed that Section 4 has re-opened.

However, please note that the new gate by the stream crossing does not fasten using the gate latch.

The post was misaligned when the contractor put the track in and is being held closed by a rope loop until the last of the works to reseed the area is done and the post repositioned. This should be in two weeks or so.

Closure for Nicky Grist Rally

Please note that The Epynt Way Section 2 Crychan Forest (posts 218 to 257) and Section 5 (posts 509 to 528 ) will be closed on Saturday 11th July 0800 - 1800 for the Nicky Grist Rally.

Diversion: Section 8

A diversion has been created on Section 8, designed to avoid a marshy area. Posts 839 to 848 have been moved to take advantage of drier ground. See map above, but should be easily followed on the ground.

Parts of The Epynt Way will be closed for military training during April.

The sign left will be displayed.

Visitor Centre - OPEN

The refreshed Visitor Centre is now open!

The Centre and toilets will be open daily from 8 am to 6pm.

Why not pop by to see what has been done? Thank you to all for the hard work.

Photographs to follow.

Timber Operations Update February 2026

Challenging weather conditions during timber operations have resulted in greater ground damage than anticipated at the start of Section 4 (Tirabad-post 400 to Cefn Coch-post 418). This part of The Epynt Way remains closed until conditions improve.
